Medical Office Assistant - Administration
Lynda was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and graduated from Olds College in Fashion Merchandising. However, she went on to work for the Calgary Police Service as a civilian member for thirteen years. Lynda has two adult children, and moved to Blind Bay, BC in 2009. She joined the South Shuswap First Responders, volunteering for seven years and completing her training as an instructor, teaching FR Level 3 First Aid. At the same time, she became an active volunteer firefighter with the Tappen Sunnybrae Fire Department achieving the rank of Safety Officer.
Lynda always enjoyed traveling, so when her kids moved out, she sold her home and left for Mexico. From there she traveled to Spain and completed the 800 km Camino de Santiago. Returning to Canada, she went to Cape Breton NS and New Brunswick. Lynda then left on a volunteer trip to Thailand and Cambodia and spent 4 months in SE Asia and Indonesia before returning home.
Aside from traveling, Lynda enjoys hiking, gardening, working in her craft room, and spending time with her wonderful supportive family.
