Dr. Kurt Deschner

Dr. Deschner is a family physician with enhanced skills in Anesthesia and a Clinical Instructor with the UBC Department of Family Medicine. In addition to working in the operating room he also works in the emergency department in Revelstoke. He has pursued graduate level Certification in Pain Management in the Faculty of Rehabilitation at University of Alberta and has received additional training in regional anesthesia and image-guided interventional procedures. He has a particular interest in myofascial pain and dysfunction. Dr. Deschner is a faculty member of the Anatomic Medicine Foundation and instructor of the myoActivation trigger point injection methodology, in addition to being certified in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). He enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking, playing music, and pursuing permaculture endeavours.
