Mindfulness and Relaxation Practices for Pain with Madeleine Eames MSW and Dr. Marc Lourens
In this class we will explore various mindfulness practices, breathwork and techniques to deepen the relaxation response, your antidote to the pain response.
You will learn about pain neuroscience and pain sensitivity in the body and central nervous system. We will discuss the difference between primary and secondary pain and learn practices to respond to discomfort rather than react with fear.
You will learn about how emotions, movement and nervous system regulation can affect pain and we will practice tools to regulate, calm and soothe our bodies, minds and pain.
