Embodied Healing: Transforming Pain by Befriending Your Body

This is a 4-hour online workshop (with breaks!) of practices to help you befriend your body and join it as an ally in your healing. Ongoing pain changes the way you feel about, and in, your body. In order to survive, you disconnect and yet the way to heal fully is to come back home and work with your body. You will learn embodied practices and exercises to explore this healing relationship with your body using polyvagal theory.

Here are some of the things you will come away with:

  • Befriend your body and build your inner resources for healing
  • Be with and work with your pain and symptoms
  • Work with difficult sensations, emotions, cognitions, and reactions in partnership with your body
  • Reconnect to your body’s wisdom
  • Listen to your body and heart with love and compassion
  • Be in relationship with your pain (I know, it sounds impossible!)
